How Do Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets Work?

These tablets contain two active ingredients that help suppress reflux:

  • Sodium alginate (500mg) – Forms a protective layer over stomach contents to prevent acid irritation

  • Potassium bicarbonate (100mg) – Neutralizes stomach acid to reduce discomfort

These ingredients stop excess stomach acid from irritating the food pipe and stomach lining.
