Piriton Allergy is a treatment that relieves the symptoms associated with hay fever and other allergies. Piriton Allergy is a drowsy antihistamine.
How Piriton Allergy works
Piriton Allergy contains the active ingredient chlorphenamine maleate, an antihistamine that treats itching, redness, swelling, and irritation caused by allergic reactions.
Antihistamines work by blocking histamine, a natural substance your body produces when it comes into contact with something you're allergic to.
Directions
Always take Piriton Allergy exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by your doctor or Happy Pharmacy pharmacist.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.Β

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 tablet every 4β6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.

Children aged 6β12 years: Half a tablet every 4β6 hours. Do not give more than 6 half tablets in 24 hours.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Piriton Allergy may cause side effects in some people. Common side effects include:

Warnings
Do not take Piriton Allergy if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Have very high blood pressure

Have epilepsy

Have glaucoma

Have an enlarged prostate

Have liver disease
-
Have bronchitis, asthma, or other chronic lung conditions
Using/taking other medicines

MAOIs (within the last 2 weeks)
Age restrictions
