What Causes Joint Pain & Inflammation?

Joint pain can be triggered by various conditions, including:

  • Arthritis (including osteoarthritis)

  • Inflammation caused by repetitive movement

 

Inflammation is the body’s natural healing response, but it can cause discomfort.

The five main symptoms of inflammation include:

  • Redness

  • Heat

  • Swelling

  • Pain

  • Limited mobility

 

How Does Voltarol 12 Hour Gel Work?

Voltarol contains diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that:

  • Reduces pain & inflammation at the site of discomfort

  • Creates a reservoir of diclofenac for long-lasting relief

  • Uses Emulgel technology for a soothing, cooling effect

 

Massaging the gel into the skin provides additional soothing benefits.

How to Use Voltarol 12 Hour Gel

  • Apply a thin layer to the painful or swollen area

  • Gently rub or massage into the skin until absorbed

  • Use twice daily (morning & evening) for continuous relief

 

Do not exceed the stated dose (8g per day).
If symptoms persist beyond 7 days, consult your doctor.

Warnings & Precautions

Do NOT use if:

  • You are allergic to diclofenac, propylene glycol, or isopropyl alcohol

  • You are in the last 3 months of pregnancy

  • You have had an asthma attack after taking aspirin or NSAIDs

  • You are already using other NSAIDs or diclofenac-containing products

 

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if:

  • You have an existing medical condition

  • You are taking other medications, including non-prescription treatments

  • You are unsure about suitability for your symptoms

 

Do NOT apply to:

  • Broken, infected, or inflamed skin

  • Open wounds or injuries

  • Sensitive areas (eyes, lips, nostrils, or genitals)

  • Air-tight or water-tight dressings (breathable bandages are acceptable)

 

Possible Side Effects

Most users tolerate Voltarol well, but some may experience:

  • Skin irritation, redness, or itching

  • Blisters or rashes

 

If side effects occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
