Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam is a soothing syrup that provides relief from dry coughs associated with colds and bronchitis. 

How Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam works
This syrup contains:

• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that reduces the urge to cough

• Menthol, which helps relieve irritation and reduce congestion, making it easier to breathe 

Directions
Always take Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam exactly as described in the patient leaflet or as advised by your doctor or Happy Pharmacy pharmacist.
Take 10ml of syrup. Repeat every 4 hours if needed.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Side effects
Like all medicines, Covonia may cause side effects in some people. Common side effects include:

• Drowsiness or dizziness 

• Nausea or vomiting 

• Constipation

• Stomach discomfort

Report side effects via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Serious side effects
Seek emergency help if you experience symptoms of a severe allergic reaction:

• Swelling of the face or throat

• Skin rash

• Difficulty breathing

• Loss of consciousness 🚑

Warnings
Do not take Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam if you:

• Are allergic to any ingredients

• Have shortness of breath

• Have liver problems

• Are having an asthma attack

• Have a persistent, mucus-producing cough

Speak to your doctor/pharmacist first if you:

• Have a history of asthma

• Have had substance or alcohol dependence

• Have experienced withdrawal symptoms from alcohol or drugs

Using/taking other medicines
Tell your GP or pharmacist if you're taking, or recently took, any medications (including over-the-counter medicines). ⚠️

Age restrictions
Not suitable for children under 12 years old. 🚫

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a baby, consult your doctor or Happy Pharmacy pharmacist before use. 🤰

Driving and using machines
This medicine may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or use machinery until you know how it affects you. 🚗

• Store in a cool, dry place

• Keep out of sight and reach of children 🔒

• Do not use after the expiry date

• Do not dispose of via wastewater or household waste ♻️
