About
Palvinder Deol qualified as a pharmacist in 1997 after completing his pharmacy degree at the University of Bath. He began his career at Boots the Chemist, where he gained extensive experience over seven years. Starting as a Relief Pharmacist, he quickly progressed to Pharmacy Manager and ultimately became a Store Manager, showcasing his leadership abilities and commitment to excellence in community pharmacy.
In 2004, Palvinder joined Superdrug as the Regional Pharmacy Manager for the Southeast, overseeing operations across multiple branches. During his five years in this role, he developed and implemented strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency, ensuring that patients received exceptional care.
In addition to his experience in large organisations, Palvinder has devoted considerable time to the independent pharmacy sector. In 2008, he took a significant step in his career by opening his own pharmacy. This move allowed him to focus on providing personalised patient care and building strong relationships within his community. As an independent pharmacist, Palvinder has tailored his services to meet the unique needs of his patients while adapting to advancements in healthcare, introducing initiatives that support the development and delivery of critical NHS services.

Roles & Responsibilities
Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the pharmacy and all services meet GPhC standards, pharmacy law, and other relevant regulations. Manages GPhC registration and ensures accurate record-keeping.
Clinical Governance & Patient Safety: Accountable for the safe and effective delivery of all pharmacy services and medicine supply. Develops and enforces robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manages risks, and oversees safe handling of Controlled Drugs.
Leadership & Staff Management: Provides professional leadership, overseeing staff recruitment, training, competence, and adherence to professional standards. Ensures appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
Operational Oversight: Manages the overall professional and clinical operations, including stock management, implementing efficient practices, and contributing to the pharmacy's smooth running.
Service Development: Identifies and implements strategies for service improvement, including the development and delivery of NHS services.
