Wegovy Pill Dosage Schedule
The schedule below is for starting tablet treatment. Your prescription determines when to move to the next strength; do not accelerate the plan because you feel fewer side effects or want faster results.

Dose by Dose: What to Discuss
1.5 mg — Starting Dose
Use this stage to establish the daily routine and keep a note of any symptoms or difficulties.
4 mg — First Increase
Tell your prescriber how you are managing food, fluids and your other medicines before the next step.
9 mg — Next Increase
Do not use appetite or a single weigh-in as a reason to change strength independently. Progress should be reviewed over time.
25 mg — Maintenance
This is the recommended maintenance strength and maximum daily dose. Continued treatment still needs assessment of benefit and tolerability.

How to Take Each Daily Dose
Strength and administration are separate parts of your prescription. Follow the same administration instructions at every strength; the full how to take the Wegovy pill guide covers practical routines and other medicines.
After the fasting period
After at least eight hours of fasting, swallow the tablet whole with up to 120 mL of water. Do not split, crush or chew it.
Allow at least 30 minutes
Wait before food, drink — including extra water — or other oral medicines. Ask your pharmacist about any additional timing requirements for your other medicines.

Storage
Keep tablets in their original packaging, protected from light and moisture and out of children’s sight and reach. The UK leaflet specifies no special temperature storage conditions. Follow the packaging supplied with your medicine and ask your pharmacist about damaged packs or tablets.
Missed Doses and Side Effects
If you miss a Wegovy Pill dose, skip it and take your normal dose the next day. Never double up. If you have missed several days or stopped treatment, ask your prescriber about the restart plan.
When Side Effects Affect the Schedule
Contact your prescriber before increasing if Wegovy Pill side effects are troublesome. Do not assume that nausea must disappear at a particular strength or that stronger appetite suppression means you should move up sooner.
Stop taking the medicine and seek urgent medical help for severe, persistent abdominal pain. Vomiting or diarrhoea with difficulty keeping fluids down also needs prompt medical advice. The patient leaflet lists other warning symptoms.
