Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges – Fast & Effective Relief for Sore Throats

Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges provide fast and effective relief from sore throats and mouth infections. Their soothing honey and lemon formula helps to ease irritation, while their antiseptic properties target the cause of discomfort.

What Causes Throat and Mouth Infections?

Throat and mouth infections are often caused by:

  • Viral infections (cold, flu)

  • Bacteria from contaminated surfaces or food

  • Spreading through coughing, sneezing, or touching your mouth with unwashed hands

Symptoms of a Throat Infection:

  • Soreness or pain in the throat or mouth

  • Increased pain when swallowing or speaking

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Swollen glands in the neck or under the jaw

  • Red, inflamed tonsils

  • White patches or pus on the tonsils

  • Raspy or hoarse voice

Common Infections Linked to Sore Throats:

  • Cold or flu viruses

  • Streptococcal throat infection (strep throat)

  • Laryngitis

  • Tonsillitis

  • Glandular fever

How Do Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges Work?

Each lozenge contains two antiseptic ingredients:

  • Amylmetacresol

  • 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol

These ingredients help kill bacteria, reducing pain and irritation. Slowly dissolving the lozenge allows the active ingredients to coat the throat, providing relief from dryness and discomfort.

How to Use Strepsils Lozenges

  • For short-term relief only—if symptoms persist beyond 3 days, consult your GP or pharmacist

Directions:

  • Remove one lozenge from the blister packaging

  • Place on the tongue and let it dissolve slowly—do not chew or swallow whole

Dosage:

  • Adults, elderly, and children over 6 years:

    • One lozenge every 2–3 hours

    • Maximum of 12 lozenges in 24 hours

  • Not suitable for children under 6 years old
