How Robitussin Mucus Cough Congestion Relief works
This formula contains two active ingredients:

  • Guaifenesin – an expectorant that helps turn an unproductive cough into a more effective, less frequent cough

  • Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride – a nasal decongestant that relieves congestion caused by colds

Directions
Always take Robitussin Mucus Cough Congestion Relief exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or Happy Pharmacy pharmacist.
Take 10ml every 4–6 hours, up to 4 times per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. ⏱️

Side effects
Some people may experience side effects, although not everyone will. Common side effects include:

  • Nausea, vomiting, or sickness 

  • Headaches

  • Dizziness

  • Restlessness or anxiety

  • Insomnia 

  • Skin rashes

  • Increased blood pressure

  • Tremors

Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice:

  • Swelling of the face or throat

  • Rash or itching

  • Breathing difficulties

  • Loss of consciousness 

Warnings
Do not take this product if you:

  • Are allergic to any of the ingredients

  • Have uncontrolled high blood pressure

  • Have kidney disease or failure

  • Have heart disease

  • Have an overactive thyroid

  • Have glaucoma, diabetes, or an enlarged prostate

  • Have pheochromocytoma

  • Have difficulty passing urine

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if you:

  • Have hyperthyroidism

  • Have a chronic cough, asthma, bronchitis or emphysema

  • Have a history of psychosis or prostate problems

Using/taking other medicines
Do not take if you’re currently using:

  • MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors)

  • Blood pressure medication (e.g. alpha or beta blockers)

  • Other decongestants

  • Certain antibiotics (e.g. oxazolidinones)

  • Ergotamine or methysergide for migraines

Age restrictions
This product is not suitable for children under 12

Storage information

  • Store in a cool, dry place

  • Keep out of sight and reach of children 

  • Do not use after the expiry date
