How Do Dulcolax Adult Laxative Tablets Work?

Each tablet contains 5mg of bisacodyl, a stimulant laxative that:

Directions for Use

• Take 1–2 tablets at bedtime

• Start with 1 tablet—increase to 2 only if necessary

• Stop use once bowel movements return to normal

Important usage guidelines:

• Swallow whole with water—do not chew or crush

• Avoid milk or dairy products within 1 hour of taking—this may reduce effectiveness

• Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days—consult your GP or pharmacist if constipation persists

Warnings & Precautions

Do NOT use this product if you:

• Are allergic to bisacodyl or any listed ingredients

• Are dehydrated

• Are intolerant to certain sugars

• Have a blocked bowel or intestinal obstruction

• Have appendicitis

• Have severe abdominal pain with nausea or vomiting

• Have an inflamed bowel condition

Taking Other Medicines

• Water tablets (e.g., furosemide, bendrofluazide)
