How Do Loperamide 2mg Capsules Work?

Contains loperamide hydrochloride, which reduces bowel activity

Helps the body absorb fluids, easing symptoms effectively
Directions for Use
Follow the dosage instructions carefully:
For Short-Term Diarrhoea Relief:

Take 2 capsules initially, followed by 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement

Do not exceed 6 capsules in 24 hours
-
Do not use for more than 48 hours
For IBS-Related Diarrhoea:
-
For adults 18+ only
-
Take 2 capsules initially, followed by 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement

Can be taken for up to 2 weeks for repeated episodes

Do not exceed 6 capsules per day
-
Do not take for any single episode lasting more than 48 hours

IBS diagnosis must be confirmed by a doctor

Avoid use if you have:

Severe diarrhoea after antibiotic use

Flare-ups of inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., ulcerative colitis)

Constipation or swollen abdomen

Acute dysentery (bloody stools & fever)
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

Have AIDS

Have liver disease
-
Have diarrhoea lasting more than 48 hours

Have been informed of sugar intolerance

Are experiencing severe diarrhoea
